Training

In addition to the esteemed Physician Fellowship Training that is offered at CEI/LTHF, we are also actively involved in the education of hearing healthcare professionals, researchers, graduate students, parents and educators. For graduate students in audiology and speech and language pathology we are able to offer graduate student externship opportunities.

The Let Them Hear Foundation frequently hosts visiting professionals, allowing visitors to observe procedures and sometimes participate in appointments.

Through cooperative and collaborative efforts with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Smith College, and Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf, LTHF participates in the premier training program for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing.  This program prepares seasoned teachers to meet the unique needs of students with cochlear implants.  The Educational Consultant Training Program (ECTP) was initiated at CHOP in 2003.  The program now runs twice a year at 3 different sites:  Pennsylvania, California, and Georgia.  For more information, visit www.chop.edu/ectp.
